A 3 nights and 4 days stay was simply a blissful experience at Hilton Shillim, and it’s still running in my mind. It was indeed a sanctuary that was untouched, pure, beautiful and peaceful. This ‘all villa’ retreat spread over 320-acre land is definitely a place I could go again and again.
I checked in with my baby boy and he soon felt at home in his one-bedroom villa apartment. The first thing he mentioned was, can we live here for a few weeks? 😊 I wasn’t surprised, after all, he had a garden, a pool, tv, a bathtub all by himself, why would he not like it?😊 The very first day he got treated to a bubble bath with rose petals and candle lights by the side. This is how our “mama-baby” evening turned out on the first day. Relaxing quality time!!
Spa & Relaxation
Spa at Hilton Shillim offers various holistic, customized and engaging programs. The process starts with a one to one consultation with a senior Doctor at the resort, after knowing your concerns and lifestyle, the team designs a customized schedule for the guest. My concern was lack of sleep, back pain and in general a stressful lifestyle. They designed a beautiful program for me that included private yoga class at the villa, wellness breakfast, pranayama at the relaxation zone, dosha facial, vanaushadhi massage, foot reflexology all spread across 3 days. The staff is very well trained and on par with the expected Hilton customer experience. I really wish I had more days in hand to go for the whole experience.
Where to eat and what to expect?
Mountain Bar and Bistro: This turned out to be my favorite at the resort, as it offers spectacular views of the mountain and has an infinity pool right next to it. It offers cocktails, mocktails, light bites and some good Italian dishes ranging from pasta to delicious stone-baked pizzas. One could spend hours chilling here and enjoy the scenic beauty.
The Tea House: After a great spa session, I spent some time at the tea house exploring some local teas amidst scenic surroundings. One can read a book and spend some quality time here in the serene environment.
Terrazo: It is an all-day dining restaurant that serves International and Indian cuisine. The day we had lunch there it was Onam and they had a special Onam buffet offering, it was quite nice. During another dinner, we explored Chinese and it was nice enough.
The Green Table: We had our breakfast at the Green Table, its again a wonderful restaurant located right next to the spa and offers a healthy menu. The outside view is amazing as there is a pond right there and its beautiful to spend your mornings. They have some delicious organic offerings as the use local homegrown ingredients to create the dishes.
In-Villa Dining: The In-Villa dining service is great, it takes about 30 to 40 minutes for delivery, but it’s very convenient.
Activities
They offer various fun activities for kids and adults like pottery demo, umbrella painting, t-shirt painting, {leaf painting and candle painting is offered to guests, free of charge}. There is a small kids club with soft play area, carom board, ping pong and archery for ages to explore.
Hilton Shillim is a place where you are so close to nature, far away from the city hustle. Take out time from your busy schedule and make time for yourself.
