In London, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to luxury hotels and choosing the right one for you can be a daunting task. My trick is to always look for something central or conveniently connected to it. To me, Knightsbridge ticked those boxes and Park Tower Knightsbridge Luxury Hotel turned out to be the perfect choice. Let me tell you why…
Located right next to Knightsbridge Underground (very easily accessible to Piccadilly /Central London)The area is home to department stores like Harvey Nichols, Harrods (Shopping Time)
It’s located next to Hyde Park (a beautiful park to chill and go for a nice long walk)
The hotel is walking distance from the stunning Buckingham Palace
Hotel
It is a luxury collection hotel, part of SPG Family. The check-in at the hotel was easy as I arrived only by 4pm and the panoramic suite was ready. The suite was located on the higher floors of the hotel and as I entered the room was astonished with the splendid views of the locale and London’s skyline. The suite was equipped with a luxurious living room and a comfortable bedroom. I even had access to the complimentary butler service throughout the stay for 3 days. The package included full English breakfast and Tea and coffee-making facilities.
Breakfast
One-O-One restaurant is known as one of the capital’s finest sea food restaurants. I had the English breakfast buffet that included fresh juices, coffee, fried, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread or toast with butter, and sausages, baked beans, pan cakes, hash browns etc. It was quite nice and good service/attentive staff made it special.
Park Tower Afternoon Tea
Even if you are not staying at the hotel you have the option to visit them for an Afternoon Tea daily from 3pm to 6pm. Their summer Afternoon Tea is inspired by the gardens of Hyde Park and includes delights such as delights such as London smoked salmon with dill mustard or roast Norwich farm chicken sandwiches and scones with homemade British strawberry jam or lemon posset créme. The assortment of pastries also features an iconic swan choux pastry that mimics those found on the Serpentine in Hyde Park. Afternoon tea is priced at £37 per person or Champagne afternoon tea, with a glass of Moët & Chandon, is £49 per person.
The Hyde Bar: Burger Collection
It’s a lovely lounge-style cigar bar that offers drinks, tasty food, and a range of the finest cigars. With an indoor and al fresco cigar terrace this turned out to be my favorite spot to hang out at the hotel. A friend and I explored their delicious range of handcrafted burgers created by well-known Executive Chef Pascal Proyart. Being a vegetarian I ordered for ‘Caprese’ burger with polenta, tomato, aubergine, olives and mozzarella. It was indeed delicious. Their drinks menu was quite extensive and we also explored their Mojito collection, featuring nine different cocktails, available as non-alcoholic versions also. A great meal with amazing drinks & ended the evening on the tunes of an amazing piano player.
