Aamby Valley is a beautiful man made creation that is bound to mesmerize you. It is known to be India’s best planned city and has been a trendsetter in urban planning & environmental/landscape design .
This township is developed by Sahara India Pariwar further down Lonawala (near Pune/Mumbai) and is well connected by road . It is also connected from Mumbai by air as they have their own landing strip. The township is spread over 10,000 plus acres of land. From restaurants to supermarket to a 18 hole golf course, this city offers all what you need. 3 large man-made lakes have been created by constructing dams .
I spent 3 blissful days at the valley , let me tell you all about it…
I checked in at the Aussie Room at Aamby Valley City after a lovely 3 hour drive from Mumbai. Soon after settling down, visited the Town Plaza for lunch at Manuhaar. Ofcourse a holiday with great food is a must and even better when it’s an amazing unlimited Thali with Gujarati and Marwadi delicacies served at its best. A lavish meal calls in for some lazing around & we took a nice stroll at the resort before heading to the water sports center. I had one of the best Luxury cruise experiencs at the Lake side, it was nature at its very best, inviting and pleasant. Serenity personified!! Post cruising , I tried some paddle boat and jet ski. It was all just so good , quiet and beautiful. Felt like I am in a different world far away from the maddening crowd and how proximity to nature makes you feel at peace with yourself. I was sitting by The Shack near the water sports area and was just pondering over the beauty of nature while enjoying a cup of Tea and Pani Puri 🙂 This trip was certainly bringing a lot of tranquility within me and I was just totally moved with the experience.
The township has many attractions and I did not realize how time was ticking by. While I was there on the weekend, I had the pleasure to witness the Fountain of Fortune , a spectacular fountain show that starts at 7.30pm. It features laser and fountain show together that epitomizes the artistic precision and vitality of a young city, throbbing with enthusiasm, joy and exuberance. It reminded me of Dubai Fountain Show and Sentosa Wings of Times Laser Show as this one was the mix of the two. They definitely want to provide their guests the best of the World in the midst of nature.
For Dinner I chose Mabruk, the Mediterranean restaurant that takes you to a culinary journey of Lebanese, Turkish, Moroccan and Greek cuisine. This restaurant transports one to the Arabian nights with a splendid décor. Felt like I was sitting in Bab Al Shams (Dubai). It was gorgeous and authentic. The service was brilliant and Chef was great. I Spent the rest of the night walking around the resort beneath the starlit sky.
Next morning ,I started the day early with breakfast at Woodpecker, a warm and bright all day international cuisine restaurant. The breakfast spread was very nice, along with continental offerings & also enjoyed local Indian cusisine. After a lovely breakfast, I went to the Adventure Park . I had an awesome time experiencing Jungle Safari, Zorbing and Zip line. Then I took a car tour of the resort and I tried my hand on Golf as a learner at the course. Later I stopped by the Banaras Ghaat. This traditional and enchanting temple is one of the most beautiful location for a royal theme baraat with a fairty tale wedding set up. Aamby Valley is a perfect location for a Dream Wedding . I wish I knew about this place earlier 🙂
They also have an amazing Indian Specialty Cuisine restaurant called Namak where I really enjoyed the delicious Awadhi and traditional flavours of Hyderabad amidst the contemporary interiors. Great service and the restaurant is located by the lake where one can enjoy breathtaking mountain views. The valley also has a spa and salon and I tried the Spa for a traditional Ayurvedic massage. The masseuse was really good. Post massage, I visited the Town Plaza for seeing the art gallery while grabbing on to Baskin Robins Ice-cream . I spent the evening at the Seven Sports Bar, featuring sporty décor & bar aesthetics that distinctly express the flair and panache of the 7 legends. With the eclectic ensemble of drinks & delectable,I had a splendid treat with the punch of sports.
Next day, I spent some time Horse Riding along the Lake side, it was amazing and my horse, Arjun had an unbelievable shiny white skin that glittered in the sun. For lunch, I chose to dine at Curry Coast, a coastal cuisine restaurant serving amazing vegetarian choices along with sea food delicacies. The servers were dressed in traditional South Indian clothes. I loved the food especially The Tomato Soup, Chilli Pepper Paniyaram, Tamarind Rice, Appam and Coconut curry. I had only the vegetarian food and it was yummy.
Luxurious Lifestyle, Beautiful Landscape , Fun Activities, Adventure and Mouth Watering Food ! Aamby Valley was an overwhelming experience and given me memories of a lifetime.
