From the launch of Carnival by Tresind

We all have heard & witnessed the success story of Tresind. Now here comes another Biggie from them called ‘Carnival by Tresind‘. It’s a celebration of Indian cuisine, where Indian food comes of age to shed its erstwhile glamorous modern avatar and take leaps ahead to enter the post modern era. Dining at Carnival is a gastronomic fiesta that pushes the boundaries of fine dining to transcend into a nostalgic culinary experience that revokes childhood memories and takes you back to your days of yore.

They have both A la carte and Chef’s tasting menu . We opted for the Chef’s tasting menu  & it was quite a pleasant surprise. It’s akin to a Fashion show where you are amazed by every design. Food with Fashion is what Carnival is all about.

I visited the restaurant with family and my son Nirvaan was fascinated to see the  Bubble welcome, it looked beautiful. The aesthetics and décor gives a real carnival feel . The outlet is located on the podium level of Burj Daman in DIFC among several other joints with valet facilities.

We soon started with the 15 course tasting menu masterminded by none other than Chef Himanshu (From Tresind Fame).  Each dish was a fine piece of art and had a unique taste around it. We started with Happy Halloween (pumpkin kulcha), Makhan Phal (cacao butter hive with avocado and lime cream). The cold tomato soup was fancy and tasty served with cheese bread stick. Drinks along were served with a fusion of taste. My husband liked the Indian fried chicken and South Indian ginger prawns called ‘Pullinji’.  Malai baraf was really yummy. The good think about the tasting menu is portion size are small so one can try all the dishes at ease. But yes keep 3 hours with you to enjoy this experience in the true sense. Vada Pav service was impressive and it was the yummiest VadaPav I ever had. Dal Phulka needs another mention as it was served as yellow lentil cappuccino and phulka cookie. Creative yes totally!

The staff is attentive and so well trained that they knew about each and every dish and are prepared for the next course. Impressive service. This place is your answer if you are looking for a special celebration or a special dine out.
