It’s Thai: Blue Elephant at Al Bustan Rotana

Late in the hour but finally I discovered this hidden Thai restaurant “Blue Elephant” in town located at Al Bustan Rotana. The restaurant features serene set up Greenery, Waterfall, Village huts, Steams and  beautiful Thai music. Amazing Ambiance!! Shimmering sun light, surrounded with lush green trees just what you need to beat this scorching heat.

Now let’s talk about food which overall was fantastic. The server was friendly and helpful. We asked for her suggestions on a few dishes and she steered us in the right direction. The dishes definitely are to please the eye and the palate, with a lot of attention to details. Thai food’s exotic flavors and fragrances make it among the most coveted of international cuisines, whether chilli-hot or bland, harmony is the guiding principle behind each dish

Shredded raw papaya salad with peanuts, releasing a rounded sweet-sour-spicy flavour that’s not easily forgotten.

Starters: We thoroughly enjoyed the Dim Sim, Crispy Prawn and Vegetarian Spring Roll, Veg Tempura was very ok. It looked great but it was too bland for our taste.

Main Course: The famous Thai Green Chicken  Curry, was cooked perfectly, the curry base as smooth and creamy, served alongside a bowl of fragrant Thai rice.

Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice – this is a classic Thai dessert and so very scrumptious, some fresh mango slices over the sticky rice, then smother with the easy coconut sauce – HEAVENLY! If you like mangoes.

Last but not least, there are actually plenty of Thai restaurants in UAE ,however, Blue Elephant raises the bar for its Royal-Ness and authenticity.
