Asha’s is a contemporary fine dining Indian restaurant; in the name of the legendary Indian singer “Asha Bhosle”. I have been to Asha’s a few times located at Wafi mall. This time it was to try the new menu called India’s Pride where they present a selection of 10 unique and creative Biryani & Kebab dishes showcasing recipes perfected by Asha in her personal kitchen in Bombay. Asha Bhosle is a passionate cook and always trying to enhance the customer experience bringing in the very best of Indian cuisine to Town. Every recipe has a story behind it; you just need to ask the staff and they will tell you about it. The new menu includes Chamandi Prawn Biryani, Calicut Gosht Biryani and more. India’s Pride menu will be available till 31st October.
We started our meal with Kofta Kham Khahi/Mushrom Kurkure for starters and Bhatti ka Chaap/Jheenga Kebab for non-veg options. All the starters were delicious and good enough to be shared between 4 people. We were sipping on to some amazing mocktails by the side : Truly Berry and Calcutta Crush : refreshing drinks made with Berries. Mao Thai is my favourite from the night. It’s a drink made with fresh coconut and had a spicy taste to it.
We were pretty full by the time we reached the main course. I ordered for some Homemade Dal and Subz Kehkeshan with Tandoori Roti and Onion kulcha. This was absolutely yummy. My husband enjoyed Muscat Gosht ; this was recommended by the staff member Sumit and it was worth a try. Sumit really took good care of us and he recommended the best dishes for us to savor.
Asha’s Gajar ka kalwa is my favorite and my husband swears by the Pista Kulfi.
A dinner for 2 will cost around AED350 to 400.
Well it doesn’t end here as I am giving away a voucher worth AED 500 to one of the lucky readers to experience Asha’s food.
