Whether you are a resident or a tourist, this place is a must do in Dubai. Located at Grosvenor House, Dubai, Buddha Bar has an astoundingly beautiful and spacious fine dining space, a bar area and a VIP lounge one level up. The dining area features a giant Buddha in the center along with conspicuous but tasteful overhanging red and gold chandeliers that stand out above all else, providing a majestic ambiance. One side of the dining area features the main bar and the other side showcases a stunning view of the Marina through the large glass windows.
Buddha Bar’s menu features Pan Asian Cuisine: the best of Chinese, Thai and Japanese culinary delights are on offer. The bar menu features Buddha Bar Signature drinks, the World Buddha Bar creations, the best of wines, spirits and more. Some amazing fruity and fizzy mocktails round off the non-alcoholic selection.
We started our meal with some Edamame, Fresh Vegetables Spring Rolls, and Crispy Fried Calamari. The dishes were delicious and so was the presentation. Along with the food we were sipping on the best drinks as recommended by the staff, specially the Goa Masala from the World Buddha Bar creation (a drink from Buddha Bar Moscow). It comprises Vanilla infused Ketel, one Vodka mixed with Mango, Passion fruit, Fresh Lime and Garam Masala. It is a unique drink and a must try. My second favorite was the Kama Sutra (Pandan infused Vodka with Coconut Liqueur, Apple Juice and Sweet Coconut). The glass is rimmed with fresh coconut powder, a wonderful drink that the ladies will definitely love. If you are looking for a wicked drink, go for “Once upon a time in Thailand”! It’s made with White Label Rum with Lime Leaf, Grapes, Ginger, Lemongrass, Chilli and Tom Yum Paste. The ingredients say it all, don’t they? There is much more to try in the menu with a variety of choices for every taste.
We ordered some Dumplings, Grilled Prawns, Lamp Chops and Stir Fried Broccoli on the side. The food was scrumptious and the portion size, just perfect. For dessert, we loved the Champagne slow cooked Poached Berries; it was quite delectable.
After the dinner, one can move to the Bar or the Lounge area and enjoy the house lounge music, DJ beats and post-prandial drinks. All in all, Buddha Bar is happening and fashionable and an unmissable hotspot of Dubai.
Don’t forget: Dress to Impress!!
