Ramadan Kareem!!!
I have talked about Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and his restaurant Signature a few times in the past. This time it’s for those of you who are fasting ; Signature launches a set Iftar menu priced at AED 149 Per person, 7pm onwards.
As part of my collaboration with Melia Dubai; I organized a Pre Ramadan Iftar preview and invited the Dubai food bloggers to enjoy the offerings at Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor. It was great fun to have everyone over. The Ramadan set up and ambiance was perfect to set the mood for the foodies.
The evening started with Roasted Crispy Papad and flavorsome Indian sauces/pickles. Soon after arrived the Gol Gappa platter and lemon grass spheres (that’s melts in the mouth and gives a very distinctive taste..a unique offering indeed). Welcome drinks included three different juices : Jallab, Qamardeen and Rooh Afza. I choose Qamardeen, it was good.
Table Set up
Dates, Sweets and some Fruits to break the fast
Pani Puri Shots
Starters included veg and non-veg platter. Veg platter is what I ordered for.. it had Rumani Paneer, Masala Chaas Rubiyan (unique dish) ,Hummus ki Gilawat, Zatar & Curry spiked Baby corn cracker. The platter was scrumptious and presentation was appetizing enough. For Non-Veg platter the foodies loved Saffron Prawns, Olive and Nuts stuffed chicken roulade, sumac spiked grilled fish and charcoal roast Lamb Chop.

For Mains Dum ka Murg, Kabuli Chana Gosht, Paneer Papad Tokri, Wok roasted baby patato accompanied with the very famous Lalla Mussa Dal, Chicken Biryani and Veggie Pot. Every single person loved the Lalla Mussa Dal. So far it’s the best made Dal in Dubai and my hubby swears by the Chicken Biryani. Gobbi ki subji was also liked by many from the vegetarian options.
Desserts were much talked about in the crowd : Mahalabia, Phirnee, Chenna Angoori, Malpua and Gajar ka halwa some great offerings in the menu.
Sheesha is also available at an extra cost. Signature’s sheesha are damn good-looking . The menu offers many choices. I loved the Sheesha with berries and lemon. Smooth and perfect.
Overall the Iftar offering is worth a try and value for money.
