Tresind is a well-known name when it comes to molecular gastronomy. They have revolutionized this category of food and have the first mover advantage. It’s a great place for occasional dining & I prefer to take my guests and family to Tresind often.
A few weeks ago, my cousin came over from Mexico and I thought of Tresind as they launched their summer menu with some interesting dishes/drinks comes in package.
We started the meal with the well known deconstructed pani puri followed by zatar pao served with pindi channa hummus pickled olives and sun dried tomatoes. The second course was the very famous modernist chaat trolley made with ultimate style and the art of liquid nitrogen followed by wild mushroom chai.
For the next course, we opted for the vegetarian option: potato sphere dahi kebab & mini break pakoda while my husband opted for the non-vegetarian option of lamb chops and sea bass recheado, korean ssäm sauce, hot pan vegetables. We all couldn’t stay till the 5th course as it was too much food but no one can say No to the super awesome Daulat ki Chaat desert. It was super delicious.
Caribbean Pirate needs a special mention as it was an awesome drink with great presentation and taste. It’s a rum concoction from the Tresind tiki bar, topped with tropical mixed fruit juice and homemade nutmeg demerara syrup.
The vegetarian tasting menu is priced at AED 350 and non-vegetarian at AED 365. One can add AED 200 per person for wine pairing with five half glasses of wine.
Like a said earlier it’s perfect for an occasional fine dining visit.
