Naya is located at the iconic Jumeirah Beach Hotel, a beautiful restaurant catering to the Indian cuisine lovers. The interiors of the restaurant is charming; luxurious and colorful . The exquisite chandeliers of metal giving it a bit of rustic look. The restaurant also has an outside sitting area with the stunning views of Burj Al Arab. Authentic flavours and scenic views made it an amazing combination.
I was on a lunch date with my son Nirvaan who thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Naya. The restaurant was busy and humming. We opted for the weekend lunch called Maharaja feast. The menu features the traditional dishes from the regions of India maintaining the taste and texture.
I loved the tangy Dahi Puri Chaat, Panner Tikka and my son enjoyed the chicken preparations. For main course I tried the vegetarian dishes and enjoyed the Achari subz, dal makhani and paneer makhni: Enjoyable gravy with flawless flavours. I ate it with Tandoori crispy roti and some rice. The taste of the food caters to a mix of nationalities that dines at Jumeirah beach hotel, if you want your food to be more spicy you need to mention it to the server who would ask you about the spice level while you are ordering the dishes. Mine was just right.
Non vegetarians will find Murgh Makhani, Fish Amritsari, Jhinga Masala, Prawns in the feast menu. The dessert platter contained a piece of homemade Gulab Jamun, Rasmalai and Mango Kulfi. I must confess here I am not a great fan of Gulab Jamun but this time at Naya I asked for a repeat and it just melted in my mouth. They were just the best ever. Warm, Homemade & Delicious!!
Naya’s Maharaja feast is priced at AED 150 per person excluding beverages which is a very good price as compared to the competitors and its totally worth it. My experience was great overall. The feast is available on Fridays and Saturdays 12.30 to 3.30pm. They also have A la carte menu available even on weekends if one would like to opt for that. Do share your experience once you visit “Naya”.
