Foodie Affair at Oye Punjabi

It was a special afternoon with friends and family at Oye Punjabi as we celebrated my son Nirvaan’s 4th Birthday. Oye Punjabi located at Lamcy Plaza serves the most authentic cuisine from the heartland of India “Punjab”. They have conceptualized the rusty look of a village encompassing the wheat fields, a small town square and the local music in the background that will immediately transport you to a Dhaba (Roadside Restaurants) for some heavily spiced meals.

I planned a Buffet lunch for my guests : green salad, sprout salad, peanut salad to start the meal. Peanut salad is amazing and everyone loved it. It was amazingly “chatpata”. Along with it keep sipping the stirred to perfection Masala Chaas or Sikanji (with lime). For starters vegetarians  enjoyed Dahi ki Shole, Bhatti Da Paneer, Aloo Methi Tikka and Non Vegetarians loved the Fish Amritsari and Murg Tikka. They have more of delectable starters that you must try like Bharwah Khumb(Mushroom Starter), Achari Paneer Tikka Amritsari and Murg Malai Tikka.

For main course we had Kadhai Paneer, Mix Vegetable, Mugh Makhanwala and the authentic punjabi dish called Sarsoon Ka Saag along with Makai ki Roti and some Vegetable Biryani.  Gulab Jamun added to the sweet flavor for the day along with some yummy cake from HeySugar.

In short it was a super fun afternoon with some great food, amazing friends and superb service by Oye Punjabi.
