Hi-Tea at Options by Sanjeev Kapoor with Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz

“Phata Poster Nikla Hero”

I like Shahid Kapoor a lot. He has the charm, the style and the acting skills to be credited as one of the biggest movie stars of Bollywood today.

But he has not fared well in his last two movies. So everyone has a lot of expectations from “Phata Poster Nikla Hero”. With the current crop of actors like Ranbir and Imran shinning at the Box Office lately, I hope this movie will give a full throttle to Shahid’s flagging career.

Incidentally I was invited to the Hi-Tea and Press conference for the promotion of this movie and I was very excited to meet Shahid and the rest of the cast. “Options” one of the finest restaurants in Dubai and savor none other than the renowned chef, Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor’s finest recipes had organized it.

I accompanied the winner from Jivewithdeepti.com for the “Meet and Greet” with the stars. The media was present there to witness the actors and know more about the movie. After a long wait, the stars arrived to meet the press and the fans. Shahid and Illena (of “Barfi” Fame) briefly spoke about the movie and praised the Director, Raj Kumar Santoshi. According to them he is one of the finest and the funniest director and they both had an awesome time working with him. Shahid comes a long way with the producer of the movie: Ramesh Taurani, who had launched Shahid and has shown lot of love to him. The team of Phata Poster Nikhla Hero convinced us that they had made a good movie and Shahid-IIeana hoped that their fans enjoy it.

Shahid danced on the doggy step from the one of the movie’s song: “Khali Pilli Khali Pilli” with his fans. The performance was hilarious and the crowd went crazy for more. While the Press Conference was going on, Options, served us with finest of dishes & I loved the yummy Pakodas, so rare to find in Dubai.
