Last weekend, I attended the 9th Birthday party of Hit 96.7 FM called the “Cloud 9 Birthday Bash” at the Royal Island Beach Club at the World Island. Hit 96.7 is the leading Malayalam FM station in the UAE, targeting the largest expatriate community in the Gulf. I am not from the same community but I love to explore various cultures, visit different places and meet new people. And this event allowed me some fun time with my friends that I usually miss in this hectic schedule of life. The event was hosted by the RJ’s of the radio station and they had a fabulous DJ called DJ Kips, who was spinning the best of dance no’s. We partied like a rock star!!! There was great food, giveaways for the on the spot contest that made the crowd alive with enthusiasm. I just wish if it wasn’t so hot, it would have been more fun.
This was the very first party organized at the resort (Royal Island Beach Club) and I must say the place is stunning and the event was well-organized. To my pleasant surprise, the resort gave a magnificent view of the skyline of Dubai from the World Islands. I could clearly see the horizon of this magnetic city from the Island. I spoke to some of the hotel staff to find about more about the World Island and they mentioned that this project is an artificial archipelago constructed in the shape of the world map developed into the continents located about 6 Km off the coast of the Emirates of Dubai. The Royal Island Beach Club and resort is located on the Lebanon Island, in the Asian cluster of this iconic development and borders with Europe and Africa clusters. The resort also has an International Restaurant with Indoor/Outdoor Dining, Beach Swim areas, Swimming Pool, Day Use Chalets, Events Area and Non-Motorized Water Sports activities.
Isn’t this incredible? This is what I love about Dubai. They have created a world for us here. Whatever you wish to experience can be found here. So now are you missing the Lebanon beaches? Don’t have to. It’s here in your city. I often think about this when I travel to other countries and the answer is Dubai is unbelievable and the leader’s vision is spectacular.
It’s very easy to get to the World Islands by Ferry and it’s a fun ride for about 1 hour 15 minutes from the Gubaiba Station, Bur Dubai. The RTA ferry transport is well-organized and timed to the Lebanon Island. The ferry seemed like a luxury Airline with Business class & economic class sections.
I recommend you must go and explore this Island post summers. September to March would be the perfect months to visit the Lebanon Island.
Some pictures from the event day. Congratulations Hit 96.7 FM for completing 9 successful years in the UAE.
